The Man Who Stole the Sun

This movie was shown for my group movie night. We alternate a mainstream and an obscure movie weekly.

The Man Who Stole the Sun was one of the obscure ones. It is in Japanese, with subtitles. It is about a science teacher who builds an atomic bomb and then tries to get what he wants from the world. The problem is, he isn’t sure what he wants.

I really felt sorry for the poor cat in this film. The movie gave me a lot to think about, and I would recommend it, but it’s a little slower than I would think it should be. Plus, working with radiation myself, I had to ignore the lack of proper safety equipment. I am aware that it’s fiction, though. I just had to take a step back from it, mentally.

It was a difficult movie to get a hold of, from what I understand, but worth watching.
