For my class this summer, there is a lot of reading. I hate the textbook, so it makes it more difficult.
We were told that no assignment could be retaken without a valid excuse. Family, work, etc are not excuses. Medical excuses with a note will be considered.
The instructor did not mention cats sitting on your textbook as an excuse. Maybe the photo below will help convince her?
Inky climbed over me to sit on my book as I was reading it. I guess I could get 3/4 of the page read, but that would give me a 75% grade at best on the test.
I eventually moved so I could look at the power point on my laptop at the same time as I was reading the text book. Inky came back to help warm up the keyboard on the laptop. I struggled with her a bit until I convinced her to sit next to me, not on me. We’re both much happier that way.
The artist mentioned in the above linked article is a cat rapper. He raps to cats, and about them. I missed the actual live show, but the interview here entertained me. I hope the live show was good. The cats seemed kind of unimpressed, but I’ve never seen a cat behave so well while getting a bath.
The bookstore mentioned in the above linked article brings kittens to the store in hopes they will be adopted. There is an adoption fee, but it includes all vaccinations and the kittens are all healthy.
I loved seeing the little kittens among the books. I could have done without the earwax removal commercials all throughout the article, though.
Puppies were mentioned later in the article, but it seems that they aren’t in the bookstore. This is probably a wise idea.
I loved the above linked video. The BBC sportscaster, Andrew Cotter, featured in the video has been entertaining himself and others with his video sportscasts of everyday events, since there are no sports to watch at the moment.
He’s definitely worth watching. I haven’t found a video of his that’s boring, yet.
The two articles linked above show how some people are entertaining (themselves) their animals while quarantined. Both are cute ideas, but I have a feeling that the humans are more entertained than the animals.
I don’t understand why cats are so fascinated with sheet changing day. Usually, I have to move Inky a few times while changing sheets. Sometimes I just end up throwing the blankets over her so I can get it done more quickly.
Yesterday, it was Mini who was the issue. I moved her about a dozen times before calling for reinforcements. Mini usually isn’t a person cat, and my presence offends her, normally. I guess the call of clean sheets was too much for her. I had to call the family to help keep her out of the way.
What is it with bedding? I thought it might be the smell of the sheets right out of the drier, or maybe the warmth? The sheets had been washed the week before and stored away, so it was neither.
The fundraiser that the above linked article tells about sounds fun. Send $15 for a drawing of your pet. The catch is that it doesn’t have to be a good drawing. It is a worthwhile cause, and even if you are just donating the $15, I think it’s worth it.
