I picked this up for a bookclub read.

I enjoyed this story and loved how it flipped back and forth between real life and the game the characters were playing. I covered a variety of topics quickly and easily but didn’t dwell on the problems so they were not as depressing as they could have been.

It was a quick read and I would recommend it to those who like light adventure and graphic novels.

I picked this up for a bookclub read.

I did not read the book that this graphic novel was based on. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed it more if I had the context from the original in mind when I read it. It was definitely on the stranger side, but it was an interesting read, and I had no idea where it was going until I got to the end of the book.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys graphic novels and fantasy.

I picked this up for graphic novel bookclub. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I loved the illustrations, especially how dark they were during the majority of the book. There are a lot of themes running through it, and I really enjoyed that, knowing that life is complicated, and the book ran through all the complications.

My only complaint is that I haven’t gotten my hands on the next book yet. This one kind of left me at a cliffhanger.

I picked this up for book club. I don’t normally read graphic novels, but book club nudged me in the right direction.

I enjoy the way that the author used the stories from mythology to guide the stories. I took the time to read the FAQ section that the author took the time to answer. It helped explain a lot of the choices that were made, especially with color and size of the characters.

I do recommend the story. It was worth the time to read it.
