Revelator by Daryl Gregory
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I picked this up for bookclub. I knew going in that it was horror, but I wasn’t expecting the story to go the way it did.
The story was written in a way to keep you guessing most of the way through it. I had my suspicions about what was going on, and it wasn’t until the end that I understood it. It seemed more like a commentary about religion and cults and backwards communities using religion to get what they want.
The book was good, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes creepy stories, but it was minimal on the horror and gore, and just was mildly creepy.
