Merry Christmas 2022/Happy New Year 2023

We’re ending 2022 soon. The week between Christmas and New Year is a good time to reflect on what’s happened and what’s to come.

I managed to finish my degree. I should be getting my diploma in the next few months. This week, I am anxiously awaiting final grades for 3 more classes. They are supposedly due at midnight tomorrow. I’m not terribly worried, but I still am anxious. I am happy that I don’t have to worry about writing in MLA or Chicago format anymore. I am not going for my master’s degree. I decided.

I finished my annual reading goal. I set a goal of 125, but I did a little more than that, and I still have a few days to go. I should finish one or two by New Year’s Eve. If not, then they will count for next year.

As usual, I am not making any resolutions. I plan to work on time management and adding gym time to my routine. I also am hoping to not allow procrastination to get the best of me.

Maybe in 2023 I will get my car cleaned out. I have been driving several projects around with me for months. Maybe by mid-January I will finally get them delivered to their actual locations.

I have to set my reading goal for 2023. Because I don’t have school reading, I hope to be able to read more stuff that I want to read instead of assigned readings. I still have bookclubs, so some of the books will be somewhat assigned. I am trying to decide if I should keep the same goal that I had this year, or if I should add a book or two or five to the 2022 goal. I have a few days to decide.

I plan on setting a swimming goal. I have several people willing to help me by swimming with me. I just have to get everything and everyone scheduled.

I also plan on a daily step goal increase. I have been close to meeting my goal for several months, but now that I don’t have to be in classes or doing homework, I hope I can increase it.

Thank you, 2022. Here’s to a great 2023!
