We went to the county fair yesterday. In the middle of a heatwave. I took some photos, but not too many this year.
Scrabble game sponsored by the library.
Bookmobile to go with my previous post, (Libraries on Wheels).
The exotic animals this year were from Australia. We weren’t able to see the sugar glider, because it was daytime, and the gliders are nocturnal.
The kangaroos and wallabies did not line up under their individual signs, but they were still fun to look at.
They had the cows, goats, sheep, and rabbits. No chickens this year, because of a bird virus going around. No one wants their chickens to catch it, so they got to stay home this year.
There were science projects and puzzles for the kids to do.
We ended up leaving fairly early, since it was way too hot to be out there. It was a tradition to go, so we did manage about 3 hours at the fair. No fair food, since no one wanted to walk around with a stomach ache. Maybe next year.
