Logical Family: A Memoir, by Armistead Maupin

Logical Family: A Memoir by Armistead Maupin

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read this for bookclub. I don’t think I would have picked it up otherwise. I was surprised that I really enjoyed it! I knew very little about the author before reading it.

I think that I may have enjoyed it more if I had read the author’s work, and had a little more knowledge of San Francisco history. The book covered a lot of topics that I should have known more about, since I grew up in the city. Most of the events happened when I was a child, though. It gave me more to think about. I will be researching more of the history because of this book.

I also look forward to reading the author’s other books. They’ve been on my TBR list for a while. This book might be the motivation that I needed to get started on them.
